Nobuyoshi Araki-the new 2009 advertising campaign for Bisazza.

Nobuyoshi Araki, one of Japan’s most provocative, and sought-after, photographers, has created the new 2009 advertising campaign for Bisazza that debuts internationally from April across Europe, USA and Australia.

Expressing Araki’s original and highly recognised style, the provocative yet iconic campaign represents Araki’s personal interpretation of the Bisazza brand.

As usual, the central protagonist of Araki’s shots is an oriental woman, most often tied as per the ancient art of Japanese bondage or kinbaku. Her look (glance), with its strong evocative force, involves the observer into an emotional reflection.

Araki’s photography, as an authentic artistic expression, reveals itself in a unique and inimitable style, making the new Bisazza campaign an exercise in “visual poetry”.

The involvement of an artist like Araki in the new advertising campaign further confirms Bisazza’s love for avant-garde artistic expression, and reinforces the company’s philosophy to move the brand forward and anticipate new trends.

Natural stone by L’Antic Colonial for the Plaza Mayor de Vila-real and the Glorieta de Sagunto square-PORCELANOSA GROUP.

tileThe main square of Sagunto, in the Valencia Region, will be given a totally new facelift and equipped with paving and other features from the Basalto Java range by L’Antic Colonial.

Architects’ studio vnbarquitectos, based in the same town, has been commissioned with the project. The space in this large square will be distributed into a series of
zones, all of which are intended for different uses and age groups.
However, every effort has been made to eliminate all of the existing
barriers, to create an open, airy space that invites the population
to use it. It will feature a library, Wi-Fi zone, garden areas and a recreation of the Convent of San Francisco, whose remains lie under the subsoil of the square.

L’Antic Colonial will provide over 4,500m2 of natural stone paving, together with edging materials, coverings and other architectural features, all from the Java Flameado range.

L’Antic Colonial has worked on other projects involving public spaces in 2009, specializing in large-scale outdoor ones like parks, squares or gardens. Examples are Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Villarreal, which has a special sentimental and cultural value, or the square of Banca March in Palma de Mallorca, using new paving in keeping with the architecture of the building. L’Antic Colonial, the specialist in natural stone, offers a wide range of materials for use outdoors and indoors, including marble, slate, granite, travertine, limestone and sandstone.

StonePeak Ceramics 12x24 Limestone Gray porcelain tile has been chosen for the lobby and reception area of the new US Green Building Council headquarters.

The new headquarters, located in Washington DC, is designed to meet the new LEED-CI rating system and achieve the Platinum score. It is the first project to obtain certification under the latest version of the LEED green building rating system.

The USGBC outgrew its previous office space as a result of exponential growth over the past few years. Today, more than 35,000 projects are participating in the LEED system, comprising over 5.6 billion square feet of construction space in all 50 states and 91 countries. The expansion of the USGBC headquarters is reflective of the green building industry, which is projected to grow to $60 billion by 2010.

StonePeak Ceramics is proud to have been chosen to participate in such a prestigious project, which is paving the way for the future of green building.
